If you want a great Italian restaurant with a Sardinian flavour then look no further!
There was a happy relaxed atmosphere in Pepe Sale when we ate with four friends. A super supper was enjoyed by all due to the great food and service. Next time we are back in Reading we will pay a return visit for sure. Thank you for a most enjoyable eating experience.

Great food and coped brilliantly with 75 people!
Food was fresh and tasty, chicken with salmon stuffing worked remarkably well. Service was friendly and efficient. Wines were served just right. The only minor issue is that the ceilings are a bit low and with alot of people in can get noisy.

The Best in Reading!
The food varies from merely excellent to truly wonderful. I've eaten here many times, and every time is a culinary experience to be relished. The food is beautifully cooked, and the Sardinian twist gives it a touch more zing than typical Italian restaurants can boast. The wine choice compliments the style of food on offer, and if you're not sure of what choice to make the charming staff will help you admirably, assuring a splendid evening out - or an unbelievably fair value pasta at lunchtime (£5.50) should you so choose. After all, in a town where you can pay £4.50 for a glorified sandwich, surely a fabulous pasta makes more sense? I heartily recommend Pepe Sale - it's not just great food, but a lovely experience to be had every time.

Best food in Reading!
WOW WOW WOW! This was amazing, and in fact better than the Sardinian restaurant I visited in Milan last October. The menu is fantastic and has a wide range of vegetarian options, including gluten free pasta if requested. I ordered the grilled zucchini, eggplant and capsicum for entree and it was beautiful and light. My husband and cousin both ordered the prosciutto starter and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We all chose pasta as a main - Ragu, Sausage Pasta and I had the vegetarian chilli pasta. Can not fault the food, it was mouthwatering. The serves were extremely generous and the pasta is made at the restaurant every morning. The only fault - the decor. But that's half of its appeal, often the ugliest restaurant is the best. Service was great, they were attentive without being over the top. I wasn't drinking that night, but both husband and cousin couldn't fault the red wine ordered. None of us could fit in dessert but the expresso I had was wonderful, perfect creme and not at all bitter. If only I lived in the UK - I would make this my local!
